SiteSee is a one-person web design studio on Long Island, NY. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we handle, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email hello@thesitesee.com.
Who we are
SiteSee (“SiteSee,” “we,” “us”) is a sole-operator web design studio based on Long Island, New York. We build custom websites for local businesses — restaurants, salons, contractors, shops, and the like — and offer an optional monthly care plan. You can reach a real person at hello@thesitesee.com.
Information we collect
We keep what we collect to the minimum needed to do the work. That includes:
- Public business information. Before we reach out, we look at what your business already shares publicly — usually your Google Business Profile (Google Maps) listing: business name, address, phone number, hours, public reviews, and public photos. We use this to build a demo of what your site could look like. We do not access anything private, and we do not log into any of your accounts.
- Information you give us. When you reply to us or hire us, you may share your name, email, phone number, business details, logos, photos, menus, copy, and any login or content you choose to hand over so we can build and launch your site.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe’s secure checkout — we never see or store your full card number. We only receive confirmation of payment and basic billing details (such as your name and the last four digits) needed to keep records.
- Basic site analytics. We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand how this site is used (for example, which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from). This helps us improve the site. It is not used to build advertising profiles.
How we use it
We use the information above only to:
- Build, present, and revise demo previews and finished websites.
- Reach out about a demo we built, and reply to you when you contact us.
- Process payments and keep accurate billing and tax records.
- Provide the optional monthly care plan and respond to support requests.
- Operate, secure, and improve this site.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We share information only with the service providers we rely on to run the business — for example, Stripe for payments and our hosting/email providers — and only as needed to deliver the service or comply with the law.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies needed to function and, where enabled, lightweight analytics. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
How long we keep it
We keep project files and customer information for as long as we are working together and for a reasonable period afterward — typically while we support your site, plus the time we are required to retain billing and tax records. Public business information used for a demo that is declined is deleted along with the demo. You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing hello@thesitesee.com, and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.
Opting out of messages
If we reach out by text, phone, or Instagram about a demo and you would rather not hear from us, you can stop the messages at any time:
- Text/SMS: reply STOP and we will not message you again.
- Instagram or phone:just tell us you’re not interested, and we’ll close the loop.
- Email: write to hello@thesitesee.comwith “remove” in the subject.
When a business declines, we take down the demo preview we built and remove the contact information we gathered for that outreach.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Just email hello@thesitesee.comand we’ll take care of it.
Children
This site and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we’ll change the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here.
